Short Fiction

SYNOPSIS

Abdel drives his son Amin in the suburbs of Paris. While the radio broadcasts daily information, the kid plays with the world, which stands out behind the windowpane. AMIN tells the history of a child who discovers new perspectives on the world made for the adults, but also his excess of energy and violence, which gives a force and a huge freedom. AMIN is a childhood memory of Amin, the principal character of the short film film CACHEUX. AMIN was made to fulfill Amin and in order to imagine how he would have been able to grow up from 11 years old to 18.

"A film in which intimate camerawork and precise editing are combined to create an atmosphere that shifts fluently from naïve child's play into uncomfortable realism" (Jury Prix UIP Rotterdam)
